The English language version is currently available for licensing to the World excluding Africa: Based on Jan Rabie's iconic short story. Engineer Jacobs loved his wife so much that, after her death, he made a life-size doll of her. His interest in his work decreased to such an extent that the directors had to ask him to resign. He returns home to his silent wife, wandering around with no will to go out or visit his old friends. But one day, perhaps because of the spring whispering outside the house – or because madness had finally succeeded in hiding itself behind regained activity – he begins building a robot to help him cast out the silence. He gives the robot human form, and calls him Andries. Andries and Jacobs discuss, life, love and death, and Andries learns more and more by the day.
