After a record-breaking first season, Shaka iLembe returns to the screen in 2025.
With its first season, Shaka iLembe stunned audiences with a riveting story based on the true story of a legendary African king, beautiful cinematography, and multiple memorable performances. The historical drama also became the most awarded show in the history of the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) with an incredible 12 awards, including Best Drama.
Season 2 will unveil a brand-new chapter as Shaka begins his prophesised reign after taking the Zulu throne and writing himself into history forever. Viewers can look forward to new characters and plotlines within a story filled with love, loss, war, sacrifice, and unforgettable triumphs.
