A psychologist infiltrates a cult to save her daughter from the leader’s grasp.
Melissa, a psychologist, learns that her ex-lover has started a mindfulness retreat that seems to be brainwashing young men and women spiritually and psychologically. Even more shockingly, she soon finds out that her 18-year-old daughter, Adri, whom she had given up for adoption, is one of the cult leader’s most devoted followers and allies. She subsequently risks her life by going to the Horisonne estate herself to free Adri.
The psychological thriller stars SAFTA winner Elma Postma (Hartklop, Wonderlus) opposite legendary South African musician Chris Chameleon, reuniting the two stars 17 years after their on-screen romance in the beloved soapie, 7de Laan. Newcomer Deoudoné van der Merwe stars as Adri.
SAFTA winner André Velts (Die Pro, Raaiselkind, Vergeet My Nie) directs and Fleur du Cap nominee Wessel Pretorius (who also briefly stars as a psychopath called Alwyn) wrote the script.
