Reënboogrant is a brand-new telenovela about three siblings chasing their dreams while caught up in their own teenage dramas.
Based on the popular set of books by Louise van Niekerk, Reënboogrant promises a heartfelt and often hilarious journey full of love, aspiration, tension, and family conflict. The series is written by the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) and Silwerskermfees winner, Desiré Gardner (Magda Louw) and the directing team is led by André Velts, who recently won the SAFTA for Best Made for TV Movie for 'n Tyd van Waterpere.
The siblings are: Shani, a cheerleader with a passion for the arts and a dream of making it big in Hollywood, Sunette, a book smart athlete, and Dolf, the golden child of the family who is the head boy of the high school.
The exciting cast includes Minke Marais (Mooiweer en Warm, Summertide), Mila de Villiers (Wyfie), Paul Strydom (Spooksoeker, Projek Dina), Johnny Potsanyane (Diepe Waters), Juanita de Villiers (Getroud met Rugby), Johan Scholtz (Getroud met Rugby), Righard van Jaarsveld (Diepe Waters) and veteran actor Deon Coetzee (Spoorloos, Projek Dina).
