The SAFTA-winning show is back for a third season!
At the beginning of season 3, Tom, portrayed by Armand Aucamp (Krotoa, Madiba, Chronicle), returns to the small town after the death of one of the book club members. He decides to stick around in Merweville for a longer period and in doing so rediscovers the book club that has had such an impact on his life. And discovers himself too.
"It felt like I returned to my second family when filming of the third season started,” says Armand Aucamp. “It makes me so happy to once again fill Tom’s shoes. I’m sure the viewers will feel the same! I’m looking forward to welcoming viewers back to Merweville."
"The third part of Die Boekklub is a moment caught in time,” say show producers Louis Pretorius and Albert Snyman. “The story plays out over three months during a time when some of the characters have reached crossroads. But, despite the challenges of life, the characters discover and rediscover the power of love."
Season 3 welcomes back multiple familiar faces including Jana Cilliers (Nobody Dies, Egoli), Tinarie van Wyk-Loots (Dwaalster, Fynskrif), Stian Bam (Waterfront, Die Boland Moorde), June van Merch (Sara Se Geheim, Trackers, Die Byl), Pietie Beyers (Binnelanders, Buurtwag), Geon Nel (Kanarie, Poppie Nongena) and many more.
