This unique reality show depicts the human side of the funeral industry.

Die Ondernemers follows the lives of several undertakers and reveals that everything doesn’t have to be doom and gloom in the funeral industry. Viewers will be taken through the entire process from body pick-up to the burial and the gatherings afterwards. This helps to gain a new perspective on the uncomfortable topic of death.

Featured on the show are: Candice Austin, owner of Goodall & Bourne Funeral Undertakers; former Stormers rugby player Ramone Samuels and his brother, Springbok fullback Damian Willems of SamWill Funeral Services; and Jano van der Berg, owner of Van der Berg Funeral Services. These undertakers are as quirky as they are relatable and certainly don’t mince their words when it comes to the work they do.

“I’m passionate about helping people go through the worst time of their lives,” says Austin. “In the process, I make things a little easier for them. I am also there to gently remind them that even though they have lost a loved one, they will find beauty in life again, as I did after losing my parents.”

Die Ondernemers is a journey full of laughter, tears, and hymns as viewers get to know the people who try to make one of the most of difficult moments in someone’s life just a little bit easier.

“People should watch Die Ondernemers because there is something for everyone, there is a bit of sadness, comedy and drama, and it will change the stigmas that people have of undertakers,” says Ramone Samuels
